As the year comes to a close, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported Project Ropa throughout the year. Your generosity and belief in dignity-centered care have helped us provide clothing, hygiene essentials, and support to thousands of neighbors across Los Angeles. We are deeply grateful to our donors, volunteers, partners, and community members who make this work possible.
This year, we’ve seen a dramatic surge in need across our city. Wildfires, immigration raids, and federal funding cuts have pushed many neighbors into deeper crisis, and our waitlist has more than doubled. Requests for essential items—especially warm clothing, work attire, underwear, socks, bras, menstrual products, and hygiene kits—now far exceed what we are able to provide.
We are witnessing an alarming reality: more people are being forced to choose between clothing, hygiene products, food, and shelter. Clothing is often overlooked as a basic need, yet it is foundational to dignity, health, safety, and opportunity. Thank you for standing with us as we continue showing up for our community with care, compassion, and commitment.

- Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs)
If you’re age 70½ or older, you can make a tax-free gift directly from your IRA to Project Ropa. QCDs may count toward your required minimum distribution.
