Organize Clothes and Make Hygiene Kits at our Warehouse

Lend a hand at our Gardena warehouse by organizing clothing donations, stocking our Mobile Clothing Closet, and assembling hygiene kits for our clients. Your support helps ensure that essential items are ready to distribute to those who need them most.

All volunteers must be at least 18 years old. A suggested one-time donation of $25 per person helps us cover the administrative costs associated with managing our volunteer program.

Help Distribute Clothing and Hygiene Essentials at our Direct Service Sites

Help restore hope and dignity to those in need by volunteering at our direct service sites in Central and East Hollywood. Volunteers assist with distributing clothing and hygiene kits, and offer personalized support to our clients.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you are interested in volunteering with our organization for the first time, please email us at: volunteer@projectropa.org. 

All in-person volunteers must be at least 18 years old. 

Due to capacity limitations at our warehouse and service sites, we can only accommodate up to five volunteers at a time. We are unable to accommodate larger groups for in-person volunteering.

We are happy to provide verification for in-person volunteer hours only. Unfortunately, we’re unable to verify any remote volunteer activities at this time. 

Yes, you can edit or cancel volunteer shifts that you signed up for by logging back into your Signup Genius account. If you have any issues changing your volunteer shifts, you can email us at: volunteer@projectropa.org.

We kindly request a one-time donation of $25 to help cover the administrative costs of managing our volunteer program. This contribution supports the coordination and resources needed to provide a meaningful volunteer experience.

We offer volunteer opportunities at our warehouse in Gardena on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM, as well as on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Additional opportunities are available at our service sites in Central Hollywood on Fridays from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM, and in East Hollywood on the last Tuesday of the month from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM.

Volunteer shifts are scheduled in one-hour increments, and volunteers are welcome to sign up for as many shifts per day as they’d like. Our volunteer sign-up calendar is emailed monthly to those who have completed our volunteer forms and made a $25 donation.

No, we require volunteers to sign up in advance. This allows us to properly onboard new volunteers and share important site information, logistics, and policies so everyone knows what to expect.

No, volunteers are not allowed to take any items for personal use. However, volunteers may take items such as our clothing packs or hygiene kits to give to someone in need in their community, but only with permission from a staff member. This ensures all items are distributed fairly and reach those who need them most.
