Project Ropa October Newsletter

Our Monthly Impact

In October through our direct services and impactful partnerships we distributed:

4,255 Gallons of Water
3,000 Clothing Items
1,525 Face Masks
975 Granola Bars
800 Pairs of Socks
650 Hygiene Kits
415 Shoes

We saved 10,220 pounds of clothing and shoes from ending up in landfills.

We also started our bi-weekly street outreach by the West Los Angeles Veterans Hospital and partnered with HOLA, a nonprofit that provides unhoused Veterans with hot meals as well as new pillows and blankets.

Last week, Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield hosted a Community Day to support Project Ropa where staff volunteered their time to create 150 hygiene kits.

We Need Men’s Shoes and Jeans

We are currently in need of Men’s sneakers and boots in sizes 9-14 and Men’s jeans and cargo pants in sizes 30-48.

To make it easier we’ve created a wishlist on GooDdler which you can shop from here. All items purchased on the site will ship directly to us.

If you would like to make a donation in-person or schedule a pick up email us at: donate@projectropa.org.

The Federal government has expanded the availability of tax deductions for charitable donations through the CARES Act. If you believe that everyone should have access to essential basic hygiene services, especially in the wake of COVID-19, please donate now to help us provide these services to people experiencing homelessness in Los Angeles.
