👕💛 Clothing Is Essential 💛👕
Food, water, shelter… and clothing. In most places, it’s illegal to be in public without clothes—yet in California, clothing still isn’t classified as an essential good. That gap hurts: without clean, well-fitting clothes and basic hygiene, people face huge barriers to housing screenings, job interviews, and everyday safety.
At Project Ropa, our Mobile Clothing Closet and Grab-and-Go programs offer free, dignified access to clothing and hygiene, enabling neighbors to show up for housing, work, and life.
🧼🧥 Clean clothing isn’t a luxury—it’s a lifeline.

Behind every hygiene kit, every piece of clothing, and every act of kindness, there’s this space 💙
Our warehouse is where volunteers and staff sort, organize, and prepare essentials before they’re distributed to people experiencing homelessness. It may look like rows of shelves, but to us, it’s where impact begins.
Interested in volunteering with us? DM us or email volunteer@projectropa.org.
