Turn old clothes into something new. We have bags of damaged, stained, and beyond-wear clothing and shoes available for free for anyone interested in repurposing or upcycling.

If you’re a designer, artist, student, or DIY enthusiast, this is a great opportunity to source materials and give these items a second life. To pick up bags of items, please DM us or email info@projectropa.org.

Upcycling reduces waste, sparks creativity, and proves that sustainable choices can be personal, meaningful, and impactful. Your next project could start with a single shirt or pair of jeans.

As winter approaches, the need on our streets grows. We especially need men’s pants, men’s tennis shoes, warm outerwear, coats, blankets, and sleeping bags, items that go directly to neighbors facing the cold.

In this video, our volunteer Alex shares what he sees every week: people asking for simple essentials like warm layers, dry socks, and shoes that fit. These aren’t extras, they’re basic dignity.

If you have winter gear you’re no longer using, we can put it to work immediately and bring warmth to someone who truly needs it.

Naomi has been part of the Project Ropa community since 2021, and she returned to volunteer with a simple goal: to give back and support neighbors navigating some of life’s toughest moments.

Today, she helps assemble hygiene kits and organize essential supplies—small actions that create meaningful impact. Her message to anyone considering volunteering: start by looking at what your community truly needs.

If you’re looking to start the new year by giving back and supporting those in need in your community, we invite you to volunteer with us.
