A note from our Co-Executive Director, Paul 💙

“For years, Caitlin and I talked about the heart, grit, and challenges that come with street-based work. Watching her navigate those challenges was nothing short of inspiring.

No matter the obstacle, Caitlin kept showing up. She put in what we call ‘the hard miles’—day after day, with unwavering commitment. So when she reached out and asked for help building this vision, I didn’t hesitate for a second.”

At Project Ropa, we believe in showing up for our community through every season — because when it rains on you, it rains on me. 💙

    🇺🇸 Holiday Closure Notice 🇺🇸

Project Ropa will be closed in observance of the Fourth of July holiday as we take time to celebrate with loved ones and reflect on the meaning of freedom and community.

As we celebrate, we also want to acknowledge that many of our unhoused neighbors, including homeless veterans who have served our country, continue to face significant challenges accessing basic needs, stability, and support.

We will resume regular operations following the holiday and look forward to continuing to serve our community with dignity and care.

Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Fourth of July. ❤️🤍💙

    End-of-Month Push: Fund a Kit 💙

As we close out the month, we’re asking our community to help us fund Clothing Grab & Go Packs for community members experiencing homelessness and hygiene insecurity.

Each pre-labeled kit includes a clean shirt, new underwear, and fresh socks, organized by size and gender to ensure distribution is quick, accessible, and respectful. These packs are distributed directly to community members through our service sites and trusted partners.

A small donation helps provide essential clothing, comfort, and dignity to someone navigating difficult circumstances.

Ever wonder what happens before our Mobile Clothing Closet hits the road?

Welcome to our warehouse. This is where thousands of donated clothing, shoes, and hygiene items are sorted, processed, organized, and packed with care before reaching people in need across Los Angeles.

Every shirt folded, hygiene kit packed, and pair of shoes sorted helps us prepare for our Mobile Clothing services. It is also where we partner with community organizations to ensure clothing, essentials, and dignity reach people who need them most.

This space may look like a warehouse, but to us, it is where dignity begins.

Because restoring dignity starts long before we arrive at a service site.

Want to support the work? Visit projectropa.org to learn more, volunteer, or donate.

Our Mobile Clothing Closet is more than a van. It is dignity on wheels.

Every week, we bring clean clothing, shoes, hygiene essentials, and the power of choice directly to communities experiencing homelessness across Los Angeles. Because everyone deserves to feel seen, respected, and confident in what they wear.

By partnering with mobile showers, meal providers, medical clinics, and other community organizations, we make it easier for people to access multiple critical services in one place. A clean outfit can mean confidence for a job interview. Fresh essentials can restore dignity during an incredibly difficult time.

This is what community care looks like.
