Clean clothes change how people feel, move, and show up in the world. At Project Ropa, our mobile clothing services bring clothing and hygiene essentials directly to unhoused and low-income neighbors across LA—no barriers, just care. 💙

We’re recruiting volunteers to help us:
👍🏻 Set up the mobile unit and create a welcoming, dignified space
👕 Sort and merchandise clothing by size and season
🪥 Assemble hygiene and laundry kits
😀 Greet clients & assist with selections so folks find what truly fits and feels good

    ✅ 18+ • No experience needed • Training on-site
🚫 No walk-ins (please sign up first)
👟 Wear closed-toe shoes; we’ll provide gloves and guidance.

We have volunteer opportunities at our warehouse in Gardena and service sites in East Hollywood and Central Hollywood. Every shift helps someone head to a job interview, a medical appointment, or simply face the day with dignity.

    Ready to roll with us?

Today, we honor the histories, cultures, and ongoing contributions of Indigenous peoples.

We also recognize that the legacy of displacement and systemic inequities continues to shape housing access—Native/Indigenous communities are disproportionately impacted by homelessness. We’re committed to serving everyone with dignity and learning from Native-led voices and organizations year-round.

Service Update: Our warehouse and service sites are closed today in observance of the holiday. We’ll reopen tomorrow with regular hours.

If you’re able, take a moment to learn about the Indigenous nations on whose land we live and work, and consider supporting local Native-led groups.

    👕💛 Clothing Is Essential 💛👕

Food, water, shelter… and clothing. In most places, it’s illegal to be in public without clothes—yet in California, clothing still isn’t classified as an essential good. That gap hurts: without clean, well-fitting clothes and basic hygiene, people face huge barriers to housing screenings, job interviews, and everyday safety.

At Project Ropa, our Mobile Clothing Closet and Grab-and-Go programs offer free, dignified access to clothing and hygiene, enabling neighbors to show up for housing, work, and life.

    🧼🧥 Clean clothing isn’t a luxury—it’s a lifeline.
