For the past 10 years, Project Ropa has been transforming surplus textiles into essential resources for people experiencing homelessness and financial hardship across Los Angeles County.

Clothing is more than what we wear. It protects health, restores dignity, and creates opportunities to secure employment, access healthcare, and pursue housing.

As we celebrate this milestone, we`re looking ahead to our next decade of impact—expanding access to clothing and hygiene resources while giving surplus textiles a second life.

As we close out the month, we`re asking our community to help fund hygiene kits in August for our community members experiencing homelessness and hygiene insecurity.

Every month, Project Ropa distributes an average of 350 hygiene kits, ensuring our neighbors have access to the basic essentials needed to stay healthy and maintain their dignity.

Each hygiene kit costs $10 and is filled with essential personal care items like soap, shampoo, toothpaste, a toothbrush, deodorant, and other daily necessities. These kits are distributed directly to community members through our service sites.

For just $10, you can provide someone with the essentials they need to care for themselves. Every donation, no matter the size, helps us continue meeting this growing need.
